The founder of the Sunshine Group has 19+ years experience within the Hair & Beauty industry as well running the Sunshine Group for 13 years. We have launched a new training system through our sister company “Sunshine Training”, which offers fully verifiable records.
We help, coach, support and give guidance to professionals wanting to run their own training academy. We have all the infrastructure for you to be able to run your own courses once you have been verified.
We as a company take training standards very seriously and we are committed to helping professionals that want to get into teaching or want more from there training academy business. We have several membership packages for your business needs.

Meet your Mentor
Hi, my name is Rhian Knowles.
I am the owner of the Sunshine Group. I will also be your coach and mentor to help you run a successful training business.
Here are some interesting facts about me and my career, which should leave you in no doubt that you are in capable and experienced hands, should you decide to need mentoring or guidance on an existing business. I want to hear from you.
I started in the industry at the tender age of 14, attending my local training provider, doing an NVQ level 1 in Hairdressing. I was also a Saturday girl in a salon. From these humble beginnings, my love and passion for the industry grew. I completed this course but wanted to learn more.
At 16, I attended my local college and completed an NVQ level 2 in Beauty Therapy and stayed there for a couple of years to complete my level 2 & 3 in Hairdressing. In 2011 I completed an advanced level 3 in Hairdressing apprenticeship.
In 2013, I gained my level 4 teaching qualification and assessors award. Once qualified, I worked as a lecturer and assessor in my local college where I originally trained. While I enjoyed my experience as a college lecturer, I wanted to do something different. As a result, I started working alongside some private training providers before deciding to open my own academy in 2015.
I have been delivering hair and beauty courses for six years, I love to teach, and my greatest reward is seeing others achieve their dreams. To go on and contribute towards maintaining the highest standards within the industry. I believe in a simple truth – an industry is as strong as its training. I want to see our industry thrive by contributing to higher training standards.
I also run a successful training academy with over 40 educators/academies over at Sunshine Training. My management team and I (comprising four key members, with extensive industry, business and IT skills) have developed a platform and network for professionals to get into teaching without any of the high set-up costs and delays associated with start-ups.
